Fascinating to me thats the perception in the first place. Here in Canada its at least acknowledged that driving is dangerous, but its seen as more convenient and a status symbol even though in many contexts its a lot less convenient.
Good thing their IPO has led to such an enshitifying hunger that they are speed running the death of old reddit (forcing many of us to abandon ship even if we were not ready) and now they are quadrupling down. Fuck reddit. They did me a favour by over reaching. Ill never use their service again and will actively back button when I arrive by accident. (Like the link from the OP, shame!)
