Thank you, I’ll look into that and consider the impact of it on my beliefs :)

This! Dandelion pollen does not contain all the amino acids necessary to support native bees. However, because they come up first and bees often become attracted to the first things they feed on, they can actually make bees addicted to them. Because they can’t meet their nutritional requirements with them, they die.
Plant native plants people!
I’m five by five, B.
I’m graduating at 29 after 6 years! When you are just out of high school, it feels so important to be in line with your peer group. As you get farther from that point, no one carries the same timeline anymore. It’s okay to take more time, and more importantly, it’s okay to fail a class.
Some of my classmates finished their masters before I even started!
Personally, I care because I love honey, farm grown food, and they are a poster child for all bees. Without them, there is certainly a lot less care for native bees. While yes they are primarily important for large monocropped farms, that’s your food. Like, so much of your food. Native bee populations aren’t sufficient or interested in pollinating our food crops, so yes we should really care.
Specifically, honey bees (Apis mellifera). Native bees that aren’t colony dwellers may not be impacted the same by the mites.
You mean… the cloaca?
No, I see it as friendly, but I receive them from my friends. I think if you have a doubt in the relationship already you are more likely to interpret any short reply as rude than if you are confident in what your relationship means to them.
Okay but… this is cool. Doesn’t count
Your argument was about talking to friends to gain insight into things you know less about, not finding the six degrees of separation that connect you.
I agree with the original premise of talking to friends with a variety of backgrounds to compliment your world view, but I also holdfast that it is privileged to assume that most people will have connections with friends or even friends-of-friends that can get them trustworthy and informed information.
You scared the crap outta me when I just read the title and thought you wanted “Pay 2 Play” journalism.
I like your idea, but it relies on being connected to people who have education/expertise/authority on subject matter. Great if you have them, but can’t be a reasonable expectation for most people to have good access.
Breville makes one that uses a non-proprietary canister that can be refilled for a few dollars. We love ours.
I’ve used a skin routine from The Ordinary with good results. The most basic would probably be the squalene cleanser and Natural Moisterizing factors. I’ve added the niacinamide and zinc, glycolic acid toner, and most critically for redness Azelaic acid emulsion. Makes my face soooo soft and helps with redness
We have a moth graffiti tag in my city, and I appreciate the simplicisty of it all
I’ll upvote this even though I have zero clue what it is saying cause clearly this is stience
Penis, with an entirely straight face.
This is a quality plant nerd meme
Butter. Sap is not water soluble, so soap and water won’t work. It is, however, fat-soluble, so you must rub an oil (any pet-safe/food oil will work) into the fur and incorporate the two together. Then you can use soap and water to rinse out the mixture. Voila! Works like a charm on many hydrophobic substances.
Fair point. I’m speaking from a North American perspective, but others have pointed out they may be a native or long naturalized plant.
Ultimately, planting species that are from your local area is better for the native bees of of your area as they are adapted to them.
