I use the Heroic launcher with GOG and it works fantastic. Official apps are less needed if the open source ones are great.

An overly compressed 4k stream will look far worse than a good quality 1080p. We keep upping the resolution without getting newer codecs and not adjusting the bitrate.

Everything else is just busywork, but It’s always been about control and violence.
