“The thief thinks everyone steals.”
Playing hypothetical games like this are poisonous to a relationship. My advice is to not do that kind of thing anymore.
Yeah, like 20 years ago. He’s gotten so horrible over the decades.
I’ve bought three versions of NMS over the years due to platform changes and at one point a snapped disc.
Hello Games also has other titles and they’re a small dev team. They’re an example of what game companies could do if they wanted to, rather than strangling the player base with microtransactions.
The capitalist oligarchy will never allow UBI. They want people desperate and starving so they’ll take any crumbs tossed their way.
The only purpose to life is to live it. Beyond that, you have to find the meaning that suits you for yourself.
The saying, “the thief thinks everyone steals” applies here.
Everything he is accusing those aligned against his bullshit of is stuff he has done, or would do. He can’t see the world in any other light.
I don’t struggle with it. When the end finally comes it will bring peace the likes of which I’ve never experienced. Life’s been hard and as I age, my body is breaking down in little annoying ways that add up into a larger annoyance. The only thing I fear about the end is dying in pain.
The Addams Family.
Thank you. The other one had an emergency vet visit yesterday and I’m waiting nervously for her usual wake up time to see if she’s still alive.
One of my birds died a few months back and I cried in terror for the other one (who is still sick on and off). Up until then I thought all my tears had been burned out by a 15 year family court struggle with my abusive ex.
I just watched a TV series on Netflix about this exact scenario playing out in Poland. The rural folks weren’t having it but got steamrolled by the government anyway. High Water
I got my first Linux system two years ago when I was 57. I took one of the COVID checks and bought a Linux laptop from System76. I had the choice of PopOS or Ubuntu so I just took straight Ubuntu. It was set up and running when I unboxed it and everything I need to know how to do I can just do a web search for. And that’s really not much. Best of all the thing starts up in seconds, when Windows was always taking its damn sweet time and shutting itself down for two and three hour updates when I needed to use it. As for gaming, that’s what my PS5 is for.
Buying a pre-built, pre-installed Linux system was perfect for me. It might be what would work for you too. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of where to start.
Fun fact: in enthusiast circles they’re known as skinny pigs.
I’m not. I was a moderator on one of the subs that got hassled by admin shenanigans and so I deleted my entire post history and closed my account and don’t go there anymore.
It’s one I gave myself: I told my adult and nearly adult sons this year that we aren’t doing Xmas anymore because we’re atheist and anti-capitalist and as a holiday it is counter to our beliefs. The kids didn’t care and I’m off the hook from now on. Best Xmas gift ever!
Unexpected plot twist: this causes the end of the war on drugs.
I have all these things because of subsidies and welfare, or I’d be out on the street because I’m a disabled older person on SSDI. And even these things are a pittance, barely allow me to make ends meet, and are always in danger of being cut or completely gutted by the rich fucks hoarding all the money. So yeah, I think multi millionaires and billionaires are bad people by default.
People who hoard more money than they can spend in several lifetimes while people are literally dying in the streets cannot be good. These things are mutually exclusive.
I got a Pantum laser printer and it’s free of all the rent-a-printer crap that the big ones are pulling now. It was easy to set up with my Linux system too.
