Yes - there is a cost to adopting genocide as the democratic platform. If only Harris and Biden had valued the list of things you list more than committing crimes against humanity we would not be in this situation.

I’m sure that is what Harris and Biden are wrestling with. If only they had valued those lives when they had the chance to save them.

The lessons of the 1940s again. Many brave patriots gave their lives, then as now, in the fight against genocide.

Stopping genocide has a cost. A cost that the democrats imposed on us by being more willing to let Trump win than renounce crimes against humanity. Let’s hope they have learned their lesson.

History shows us that no regime has just ‘decided’ to give up on genocide once it has a taste for it. The democrats were never going to stop on their own - they had to be stopped - like every other genocidal regime. Locking them out of power until they renounce genocide is the only historically viable approach.

This assumes that every election is independent - which they are not. The ‘lesser evil’ is to lock democrats out of power until they run non-genocidal candidates. The short term sucks, but in the long term it is much much better.

I’m happy to talk as long as you do - I just think you’ve run out of ways to pretend you don’t understand the issue, so you’ve now just posting nonsense to try to save face.

Because you think gun-fondling is more important than trans lives ;)

Because you want to continue to harm trans people… ;)

Keep telling yourself that… ;)

It’s difficult to keep pretending you don’t understand the issue, isn’t it? ;)

And yet you are still talking… lol

Because you can no longer effectively pretend not to understand the facts.

And yet I have not avoided saying transfolk. I have told you I have great concern for trans people’s welbeing. I am the one who does not want to see more of them die to gun violence - unlike you.

Because you are committed to pretending not to understand the facts.

Yes, in fact I do. The rate at which minority groups are at risk of violence is higher than non minority groups - sure - but: Guns make them less safe - they are more likely to die in the attempt to defend themselves, and dramatically more likely to die to their own hand and to intimate partners - which is why the household risk is relevant. Even though they are at greater risk of victimization, owning guns still makes them less safe, not more. Why are you pretending not to understand this?

No, I have no problem talking about trans folk. I have great concern for the welfare of trans people - that is why I think it is irresponsible to suggest they should buy guns - that would harm them - something I don’t want.

Look you can try to cherry pick - but the problem is that all the data points in the same direction - gun ownership, living in households with guns. etc all makes someone less safe. https://everytownresearch.org/report/disarming-fear-debunking-myths-of-defensive-gun-use/
It’s absolutely the lesser of two evils. If the democrats had won we would have no chance of a non-genocidal candidate in 2028. Right now we have that possibility.
