Yeah, I think the future is bright. We need to cut out Microsoft, Google and Oracle from public service use. Hold Amazon accountable for its labour violations. Remove our data from US owned or located datacenters. Ban Facebook for its criminal activities. Force Netflix and other streamers to pay into our culture production funds and create/promote more Canadian/French Language content. We need to become food independent from the US. No way we should die from eating their bullshit.
We’ve allowed our sovereignty to be eroded by these companies who do whatever the fuck they want with no consequences.
And quite frankly, I think the Auto Industry in Ontario can die and then be replaced with military industries: small arms, drones and missiles. Enough fucking around.

In a sense, its the system functioning as it should. If you have a healthy democratic society with good principals, juries should acquit people for things that may be crimes but are perfectly reasonable and justified.
Whatever, it’s a better retcon than everything J.K.Rowling said about Harry Potter.
The Matrix having a bunch of trans themes > Dumbledore having a throbbing gay sex backstory and the 1 jewish student being named Goldstein.
The Matrix actually supports those themes and readings within the work.

Trump 2028 will be run dead or alive, exactly.
I’m sure they already have the LLM ready to run his socials.

You guys are a bit optimistic if you think Mitch McConnell’s absence isnt a test run for something.

In general, any large vehicle like a pickup truck, will do horrific damage to animals (or people). It has far more to do with speed and weight, than the “hardness” or “sharpness” of the materials used. Crumple zones are more there to protect the occupants than whatever they hit.
High speed car accidents and roadkill are some of the most violent injuries one can witness.

An app is always a red flag, especially if it’s the only way you can interact with the device.

They literally all brag about not being educated, it’s not like they didn’t tell us. lol

French doesnt even have a word for jaywalking.

My advice for dating has always been: focus on making friends first. Meet people from work, sign up for a class, rekindle with old friends, volunteer somewhere. Just make new guy and girl friends, don’t go in looking for anything more.
You start inviting people for stuff, you’ll get invited to stuff. Then other people might show up to, friends of friends, relatives, etc… Such and such might not be into you, but she has a cousin the same age. Or such and such is a cool friend and he has a female best friend he brings along to parties.
Worst case scenario you are single and have a really healthy social life. Then when you least expect it… bam someone falls out from somewhere you never expected. lol

It was always shit, I promise you release day Tinder was not all that different from today. Maybe less expensive to use.
Hell, first dating advice I got was “use the websites that charge you for replies, people are more serious there”. lol, you used to have to pay to talk back prior to smartphones.

And they convinced several generations that using them is necessary for dating.

It’s just trying to get you engaged to ultimately pay. You can have matches and they’ll be super far in the cue forcing you to buy matches or access to seeing them.
The prices to make the apps functional are incredibly high.
Besides, I don’t think they need to engineer anything to be bad. Dating random people outside your social network and interests is just not a recipe for success. Much easier to date people in the same environment as you: work, school, friend group etc…
Dating apps cant do that. Matching people you kinda know is really weird and awkward lol

We could live without anything that uses ads to “sustain” itself. Nobody hosting ads on their service is doing so to “maintain” themselves. They just want profit for their labour… they are entitled too, but its a business choice, never a necessity.
And yeah if I use something, I’ll always pay for no ads. Ads cost so much more of our lifespans and contribute so fucking little to those that host them. Garbage.
I respect your take, but I think it is wrong.

Who’s houses are the datacenters being built next to?

I think Ai hate might be the single most unifying position in the west right now.

Most people didn’t even trust algorithmic automation before agents came along. lol

Some transit channels have uploaded mirrors to PeerTube but the numbers are minuscule compared to their Youtube channels.
Yup its exactly this. And with supply shortages, itll take a while to filter down in price unfortunately.
