I mean Trump has already been shot at once, and worse yet he’s going to be there and I can understand the desire to maintain an ocean’s distance.

Exactly. You better bet that if we elect the dweeb-loser Polievre next year Trump won’t be saying the same shit since Pierre will slob his knob big time.
I do like that, excepting the laundry list of terrible things he’s done, Doug Ford seems to acting tough about standing up to tariffs. Nothing will ever redeem that shitheel but at least even that sack of crap knows to eventually draw a line.
I think he’s just still mad about Trudeau beating him at his own game years ago with that stupid handshake thing he does. Made me proud.
“This is someone who made an historic comeback, who reshaped the American presidency and who’s reordering American politics,” Jacobs said.
They’re being way to delicate with him, though. If he’s that bad that should be showcasing just awful he is.
I’m not trying to stop people talking about it. You said it felt bad that you can’t vote right or wrong because both sides feel terrible and the only choice is going for the one that is less terrible. I’m saying that if you voted Dem you still put effort towards doing the right thing. If you really want to feel bad about it from even the angle I’ve been taking this whole time then I’m sorry for interrupting your kink or whatever.
Easy, bud.
You had two bad options in front of you and used your sense of right and wrong to choose the one that would hurt the least number of people and who wasn’t a cartoonish villain. It was the right thing to do given the circumstances. The wrong thing would have been to be “right” and claim “both sides” as the excuse for further enabling a literal fascist.
If you really want to beat yourself up over the fact that your options were bad then by all means, be my guest, but don’t come at me like I was saying that being a moderate is some great thing.
You still chose based on right and wrong, and at the end of the day that’s all most people can do in your fucked up system and that’s ok.
People like McConnel are the ones with the real power to create the options that the people vote on and when they just vote in line with what their party says every single time they have simply failed as representatives of the people.
I’m sure it’ll be like “it’s a power move you see” as if giving someone you dislike attention and a chance to reject your invitation is a best play with that goal in mind. Especially when he also asks Orban, who he famously likes, to come as well. Just waiting for the Kim Jong Un invite.
I would love to here what his base has to say about this. I would also love to hear the grinding sound the rusty gears in their heads make as they try to figure out what their opinion on it should be.
I could be convinced of that. I still want flay a couple of them, though. People like Elon just need to be fucking erased, honestly.
Met a homeless guy once who had had his jaw broken over some change. Even he was able to go to the hospital to get fixed up. It didn’t solve his myriad other problems but at least even he could get that taken care of.
Any system which would have turned him away should be burned to the ground and the people who built said system should have the flesh flayed from their bones, slowly.
Good thing comedy isn’t mandatory. Also fuck car-centric societies that enable the nonsense this strip is parodying.
Ok? What’s your point? Time to start chippin’ away, I guess.
You still have to commit to an actual decision when the times come. Adjusting each cycle is what everyone should be doing, knowing that each person will likely stay where they’re at because why wouldn’t they?
I have learned that whatever it is will appear if I ask. If I truly do need help then I should have asked from the start and if I don’t then it will magically appear in front of me. It’s a win-win.
That douche bag CEO isn’t gunna get his life back and so on top of the reviews we got:
Shut the hell up, is what I’m trying to say.
Also why is resignation always their way out of punishment? Like “don’t worry they quit” doesn’t really address the fact thay they did some heinous shit.
This isn’t going to be the last thing they do. The entire thing would set a precedent that they’re ok to destroy things that even might disagree with them. And because their reason is based in hating anything not far-right they’re not going to anything about the fact that any vacuum left will taken over by more and more far-right media.
I also don’t have many nice things to say when media outlets go soft at times when they should just do their damn jobs but this isn’t the time. This is your government trying to censure any ideas that disagree with them. Here in Canada the Conservatives are equally trying to defund the CBC, and not terribly left-leaning outlet but one that isn’t terribly right-leaning either, just kinda frustratingly neutral when bad people do shitty things.
This isn’t going to be a win. This isn’t a rare moment where values are aligning.
Lucky, these days some filter deletes my resume before a human being even looks at it.
