That is such a weird behaviour, and I see it in a lot of places. Especially in gameing where you have people go " I haven’t touched this game serie sense the second game in the 90’s, but this new thing in the latest game sucks. Just like the entire series has doen sense the third game was released " and this is even in a community for the LATEST game not the entire series.

It is so common to see and it is so weird.

If you favourite is the ones I found on the pictures it looks really good, I totally see how they made favourite. There was a surprise among of covers, I can see how it become a hobby to collect them, I have the one with the actors sitting on the earth with a tree, I think it’s nice.

I believe that it is the same type of people that don’t want stuff like infinite ammo cheat codes, easier difficultis or other similar options in games, because they think it makes it to easy and boring. If you don’t want to activate god mode don’t do it, but don’t go acting like a completely optional thing, somehow is mandatory and required.

That’s how it looks on my end too, I wanted it to look like the tumbler tags. I wasn’t aware it was supposed to be a mark down, would have changed it if I knew, but Lemmy didn’t really seem to know that either. Except for the one you uses.

Don’t feel bad for it, I didn’t know ether and now we both have learned something.

Personally it was because I wasn’t even alive back then and I’m not American, so my schooling really didn’t give a dame about what the USA was up to, we learned that they had stats and that was about it. We didn’t even learn what the difference between their stats and our counties was, the answer is a lot apparently.

I’m happy to hear that the statu finally was put up. There was so much debate and arguments about it, mostly about it encouraging violence especially if taken out of context and also her still living family being unhappy with the portraition of her.

I remember the debates but I never actually heard how it ended.

While I haven’t seen any of those communities on Lemmy yet, but what about communities that crosspost but for the completely different reasons. Like a post from “We love X” getting crossposted and made fun of over at “X is stupid”. Those two really shouldn’t be sharing up and down votes, and when we are at it what about downvotes? That makes bringing and bullying extremely easily and how would it be handled between places where one has down votes and the other have them turned off.

I am all on that. I do know one parameter is not to much details, as you need to be able to see it in quite small scales.

It was Jim Browning, as another comment said. I can never remember his name more than Jim, so I settled for job description, as he is easy to find that way.

But others have been through it also, Linus Tech Tips, The Spiffing Britt and Atomic Shrimp are the other big ones I know of, but there is plenty more. Of those Atomic Shrimp is also a scam hunter like Jim, so it definitely shows that just because you are very familiar with what it looks like you aren’t immune too it.

I can’t remember if they all fell for the same or similar ones or if it was different ones, but that really doesn’t matter so much.

And what happend was Jim and LTT got tricked into deleting there channels. LTT by a fake sponsorship and Jim I don’t remember someone else said it was fake YouTube support.

Spiff had something of a similar thing happen but I don’t remember the means, and Atomic Shrimp I believe was a different typ of scam not related to YouTube.

But everyone got their channels back in the end.

While that is good, to many warning pop ups also aren’t good. As if you always need to click through 5-7 warnings/permission windows, you might not notice when a bad one sneaks in to the middle.

It’s a difficult problem to navigate, especially as you need to have it work for such a big and diverse audience.

Well not the first time I heard something like that.

My favourite is when people download mod for games, and then blames the game devs for the mod braking stuff.
