Back in the 70s, men’s hair had to be about an inch short. Women were very limited in what kind of jobs they could get, and were regularly groped if not assaulted. LGBT+ were literally considered mentally ill. If you were non-white, no way you could work in an office (except for janitorial maybe.) But yeah, America sure was Great back then… /s

Those don’t seem to have the yellow stitching that Docs do. The heel looks just a little too high to be “regular” combat boots. The way the tongue bends suggests cheap synthetic material, rather than leather. If you go to amazon and search for “vegan combat boots” you’ll find a lot of cheaply-made fashion boots for under $50, I’m guessing it’s something like that.
