  • I think Andy is a good display of why Kier isn’t the problem, Andy has more rizz but he largely holds the same positions as Kier if a tiny bit bolder.

    The real problem is without a left-pole the center-left just collapsed into right-lite and that doesn’t really motivate people to get involved in the party beyond voting.

    I’m not sure it’s really solvable without a better voting system and labor is stuck straddling votes of the center-left and trying to get left voters, so it tends to drag down parties (Democracts would be another good example), whereas in countries with better elections the actual-left can sit outside of the party and you can form a coalition, but that requires being able to compromise with parties to your left (Spain/Portugal/etc)
