It still is that way, it just depends on what kind of content you engage with. People on reddit/lemmy LOVE to hate on short form video content but it isn’t inherently destructive or evil IMO., it just depends on how you interact with it.

Good advice, but unfortuntlately my org is pretty strict about using unnaproved software and that’s definitely not on the approved list lol

Funnily enough, you used as an example the only new feature I actually like and rely on. I use it for things like PWs for shared service accounts (dont @ me, I know it’s bad practice and our org does have a pw manager but these accounts aren’t managed by it and I am not in control of them)
Also useful for things that are needed temporarily but I dont know how long that ‘temporary’ is going to be.

I believe that’s intended, so it’s harder for you to compare models from different retailers. At least that’s how it works for mattresses.

The crazy thing is that was on HIS OWN PODCAST
They’re definitely out there. TikTok is actually pretty good for all these little micro niche communities at least as far as seeing people who are still keeping the culture alive.

For sure, I honestly just added that bit so it would sound like i knew what i was talking about at least a little bit.
Also the idea of a windows server having an uptime in years gives me chills in a bad way.

Which IME almost no one does. If you’re already going to be interacting with a server solely through a CLI, why not just use Linux on the first place.

That’s not really how Windows servers work. Most large enterprises are likely going to be using WSUS or other patch management for updates where you can choose exactly which patches you want and when to do them. Those updates do almost always require reboots, but again you can schedule those reboots at a time of your choosing.
I’d love if you had a source for this, that’s hilarious
Would love to know the name of the doc if you can remember!
Mine literally got upset that she wasn’t seeing/able to click on the sponsored google results…

Today should have been easy for them tbh. “See? That’s why you should pay us more money to have active infra on our other regions to failover to!”

Tbf, phones needlessly obscures file storage. Like why do I have to have a specific third party app just to have the normal file management functionality

I take issue with the idea presented here that this type of “AI” will get better. The only thing it will get better at is getting better at ticking people into thinking there’s any type of actual understanding going on inside an LLM. It’s not like it’s some kink in the model that will eventually be worked out with time. It’s inherent in the design of the way these things work. The only thing i could possibly see getting better in the future is once this obvious bubble pops, people might start actually trying to figure out realistic use-cases for LLMs rather than just trying to shove it into any and every facet of daily work and life because shareholders/investors have chubs for new shiny expensive tech.

Edit: when I first looked at that listing i could have sworn it said $99 for a new one. Still, not a terrible price for a like new one if it’s your favorite.

If you’re interested in hearing just how full of shit Graham Hancock is, Miniminuteman on YouTube is a great watch.

Oh gotcha. Sorry I’m not the most familiar with the chess world.

I mean, easy fix there right? Just have a women’s tournament and an everybody tournament. Women can then choose which to enter.
Conceptually, it’s always supposed to have been something akin to Patreon, where creators can be supported by fans via a subscription model. A combination of lax rules around nudity and probably sheer inertia meant that “creators” ended up being pretty much only sex workers. OF then tried to pivot away from that and we all knows how well that went.
