I roast seasoned chickpeas for snacking like that. I’ll top pan fried chickpeas with leftover rice and carrot then let those steam up with the lid on. It helps contain popping beans too lol

Those sweet potatoes are close to Grandma Appalachia’s traditional preparation that she got from a recipe her Irish aunt tore out of a magazine back in the 70s, but hers included a hoppy beer to balance the hot sauce
The FOX standard 😂 news when it humiliates the opposition, levity in between
I’m still talking about standards of reporting, and pointing out that Internet culture tends to be especially vocal about truth and science while amplifying the same ol’ sensationalism and romanticism.
Standards for reporting on Internet forums are the same as for the grocery store tabloids that agitated the forum dwellers to begin with
I recently saw a thread fawning over regular posters without much critical thought to standards for editors in the age of meme-based reporting. The 90s yutes, upset about their aunts’ chain mail emails’ claims about artificial sweeteners and theology, ran to the Internet in search of Truth but stumbled into a breeding ground for misinformation. Oop!
Sure, Eli Whitney.
How about the machines automate the complicated jobs to make as many menial jobs for me as possible? Computers these days are all lazy. They could optimize scheduling so the neighbors and I all get time together and time apart for a hundred hours of kicking dirt down at the office each year, instead they hang around doing vapes and abstract paintings of hands.
“Centralized DNS” is an oxymoron, we’ll have to agree to disagree
So You Thought You Were Lying Low in a Space Forged by an Exodus from Society to Bury your Shoebox of Fake IDs but Nuance Defied Expectation, a Stone’s Tale
So, an authority? It sounds like this would complicate DNSSEC by requiring the “root keys” to be stored outside the DNS itself.
That’s very noble to be concerned for those people
| The deal – reached after years of negotiations - will see the UK hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius in a historic move.
What changed quickly here? You guys are terrified of the mention of the idea of possibly having to plan to commit to a change lol “normal ones” 😂
Who issued the key?
“real people still exist” shocked pikachu
How do you get to lemmy.world
and every.to
in a world without a common, public namespace? Should lemmy.world
be registered in every country? How do SSL and trust in identity play into all this?
OK poof there are now 100 name servers delegating .com. Which one does your ISP default you to? [1-100]
Internet journalism means you can sensationalize hypotheticals like “The IANA may fudge its own rules” and “Money talks” without having to provide a source for those claims.
And why should I be careful choosing a TLD or interpret this as a warning? The Internet isn’t breaking, it’s changing. All this does is fear monger in favor of one Pope of the Internet.
Yes, Anyone Else has been seeing problems since the days of Bell up through the development and privatization of ICANN and beyond. But outrage over “a TLD is no longer delegated” is stupid shit. Where should ICANN be based and how would that influence its decision making processes?
Libertarians denying their conservatism so they can act wicked online while propping up Christian nationalism in the real world is happening!
Weird trend across all platforms the last few years. In the days of broadcast media the FCC could regulate content. Then advertisers privatized the role. Then the Internet revived the free for all of public access. Then somebody worked some kind of Queen Victoria magic on content creators to get them to both write and visually bleep parts of words on behalf of the advertisers and publishers.
