I am overall a happy and positive person and believe in humanity but this win feels like it’s stripping me of a piece of that and I hate that! For us this is exactly it. My street is full of kids (I think my husband and I are the only ones without them) but the last few years neighborhood block parties several blocks down have become the thing and everyone, kids and adults go there. Lots of fun and we now go there too but it does make me sad that we don’t really get trick or treaters. My husbanded gave out pretty much the whole bowl to one group at the end of the night
A community dedicated to all the niche communities, I like this. A post a day highlighting various ones or where people can announce the ones they’ve created. This is a good idea to at least spread the word of their existence
All of you being burnt out all the time isn’t helping anyone. You have to take care of yourself, you’ll be much better able to help and contribute to your family when you’re in a better mental and physical state. I’d suggest (as someone else did) to find a place relatively nearby so you can still help but at least have your own spacer. Good luck!
Tamale pie- canned corn, chili (no beans bc blegh), canned tamales (really these are even optional despite the name of the dish), and Swiss cheese all melted together in ooey gooey goodness.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I’m essentially an atheist too (I don’t even give it a label for myself because god and religion are just not a part of my life, and I don’t need them to be). And yet somehow I feel I have exponentially more compassion and value of morality than a large swath of these people voting in a monster, acting under the guise of being “good Christians”. Maybe I’m delusional, maybe I’m the one missing something, I don’t know. I still believe in humanity, but man I’m just sad right now.
