Based solely on his own fear and trauma towards drugs, his work has helped to destroy the lives of countless people who did nothing more than consume drugs. Read the book “chasing the scream” regarding the drug war, Biden gets a good amount of blame because of his personal crusade to punish anyone who has ever touched so much as marijuana. He’s pretty much as bad and right wing as you get from a democrat, sadly he’s easily the lesser of two evils at the moment.
I agree with everything you said, but I wouldn’t recommend any book by Johann Hari. Chasing the Scream is a powerful read, but Hari is a chronic plagiarist and liar, and everything he writes should be looked at with heavy skepticism.
