President Donald Trump is calling for Democrats to be jailed, ordering the Justice Department to investigate lawmakers who have dared to threaten to hold him and his goons accountable.
The 80-year-old president cast his demand for Democrats’ imprisonment as a response to their threats to investigate members of his administration, particularly Attorney General Todd Blanche, his former personal lawyer.
The mad king’s calling for the arrest and imprisonment of political enemies for merely being political opponents is one of the nails in the coffin of a dying empire. Add this on top of J6 too.
Real civil war is a lot worse than what is happening in the USA right now. The USA is a functioning country and a population that can work together despite recent problems. It isn’t a lost cause and these things can be repaired, though it won’t be a quick fix
The USA is not a functioning country. We haven’t properly functioned for decades at this point, we are a failing democracy. And I never assumed there was a quick fix. Even if a civil war went our way, it wouldn’t be a quick fix, it would just give us an opportunity at better foundations and refactoring our government.
And we are in a “real” civil war, it’s just not open street fighting yet in most parts of the country, mainly because we’re so spread out, and many of the population are afraid to lose their comfort while people are taken to Concentration Camps. I wonder if the civil war feels real to them? What do you think? Do you think it feels real to those already taken? To those already harmed? Is it real for them?
Be as unhappy as you want about the current state of affairs, but mislabelling it isn’t going to help you solve the problem.
Go and look at what’s happening in Sudan and Yemen now, or read about what happened in Northern Ireland, Angola, Mozambique, Angola, Syria and so many others and see the vast difference of what they endured vs how the US is now.
I’m not mislabeling. I get that it isn’t as openly bad as other places, but that doesn’t change that this is indeed a civil war.
But regardless it seems like its the excuse you need to not confront reality. Hope you find the guts to do so someday.
