‘The most uneducated buffoon in history stands at a podium, bloated with self-importance, lips pursed like a carnival barker ready to sell turd milk to the unsuspecting. He grins a grotesque smirk stretched across his face as he scrawls his name onto a hollow decree, a sham celebration of the dismantling of knowledge itself. The Department of Education falls, not with a bang, but with wheezing verbs, suffocated under the weight of his own staggering ignorance. Surrounding him are the usual suspects: cowards in expensive suits, servile sycophants clapping like trained seals, and racist opportunistic ghouls picking clean the bones of democracy. Liars, fools, and thieves all parasites fattening themselves on the hardships of the many. They stand in rigid formation, dead-eyed and soulless, their allegiance sworn not to country, not to principle, but to power, and the dark, festering rot that clings to it. And there he is the convicted wrong, the living embodiment of septic tank spew, his voice a noxious fog of grift and grievance. He lectures the world on right and wrong, irony clawing at the walls, desperate to escape the grotesque theatre of his moral void. The stomach turns, the air curdles, and for a moment, history itself recoils watching, in horror, as the great American experiment teeters on the precipice, led by a man who couldn’t spell “precipice” if his life depended on it.’

    “Overeducated” is quite the pejorative.

Especially in the context of critiquing grammar.

Someone asked, “Why do some British people not like Trump?” An articulate and witty writer wrote the following response: “A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Obama possessd. So, the stark contrast does throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty, or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I do not say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it is a fact. He does not even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he does not just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and automatic nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance, or depth. It is all surface. Some might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we do not. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He is not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He is more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege. And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully and racist. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down. So, the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a few of us– of look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that: You do not need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty hard to miss. After all, it is impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumps of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created? If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.

The OOP account reeks of ragebot to be honest.

No profile picture, decent grammar, lack of spelling errors and use of “sewing circle” instead of actual common conservative derogatory language.

The upper-limit of educated/wealthyish MAGA/Trump support base is absolutely not spending their time online frothing at the mouth over word choices, nor are they likely to call others in their cohort “overeducated.” 🤔

Yeah, in my experience these assholes will devolve into cucking at you like a chicken if the one line that newsmax fed them doesn’t work irl. Or they just yell “pussy” until their brains finish rotting.

One time I had to pull over because a trump sticker sporting lifted pickup with multiple light bar type things was blinding me from behind on a dark narrow road. He didn’t go around, he just continued to turn more and more lights on. Eventually I managed to slowly creep my way up the road while leaning well the way past my mirrors because I was only like a mile from work at that point. It was second shift, so I pulled into the largely empty parking lot and walked up the the door as he pulled in behind me. So I badge the door so I can get behind a lock faster than he could get to me, and I knew I was on camera there. He pulled up to me, rolled down his window and yelled “removed” about 15 times. I let him finished then told him how impressive all that was. He left, but I was fully expecting him to come at me.

This is the average trump supporter.

They rage about Muslims supposedly making countries they’ve never been to unsafe, while themselves becoming the unhinged dangers in their own area.

Edit: wait you can’t quote someone using a slur at you on this platform?? Once again going back to my point about indiscriminate censorship doing more to protect people that use that language than those it’s used against. You have forced me to soften the impact of this degenerate. It’s basically like sanewashing. FYI, it was the f slur.

Lemmy World has a word filter. You could take it up with the instance admins but I wouldn’t bother. Not every instance has it enabled and some instances have it set more aggressively than LW. Maybe consider switching instances.

My instance doesn’t have a word filter but idk what happens if I post one in a community on an instance that does have one.

        slur test

        I’m a fag it’s my word lol 🏳️‍🌈

It’s pretty much what it says on the tin, shit just works. There’s one admin I don’t like and I’m half assedly considering switching instances but it was a once off shitty transphobic take, and it doesn’t seem to affect his moderation, and it’s old drama I’d rather not rehash. I wouldn’t consider the entire instance transphobic though, and I haven’t seen any moderation issues along those lines.

Hey as a real person, there’s is no way I’m ever gonna put something up as a profile pic. At least not until we bring back the old forums as the way we maintained niche knowledge. I’ll grab my cane and leave myself, no need to escort me out.

Everyone should call him what he is: a rapist.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, in his 24-page ruling Monday, said the jury found Trump raped Carroll “as the term is understood more broadly.”

    Source

    He is also a felon.

The fact that he is president instead of being in prison for all his crimes does not change reality—it simply shows very clearly just how corrupt the U.S. is.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone other than the dumbest of the dumb use the term “overeducated”.

And I don’t call him Trump. I call him Felon. Or Rapist. Or Pedophile. Or Traitor. When I’m feeling particularly spicy I call him Felon Rapist Pedo Traitor.
