They complained of no dishwasher or clothes dryer, If they moved into an older British home they just weren’t setup for that 60-100 years ago. Its why you see washing machines in the kitchen in many old homes because that’s where you can access the plumbing.

The surprise that “free” healthcare comes out of taxes, and immigrants pay a premium to access healthcare ( is common world wide) shows the typical American ignorance.

The influencer complaining they can’t find work in the UK. Well LOL

They can, they just don’t want to start from scratch, they had brand deals here, and their brands don’t care as much as them over there.

Pretty much what 90% of this is… “they had a life, job and everything in the united states, they gave everything up and moved to another country, and pikachu face, starting from scratch isn’t easy.”

I’m in the UK. We have a clothes dryer. It’s a rope, with its own dedicated eyelets attached to the house and the back fence. If it’s rainy, you bring the clothes in. In the winter, you hang your clothes indoors near a radiator. It has the added benefit that the clothes smell fresh if and when they dry outside.

My house in the US (>100 yrs old) had neither of those things when I bought it. I did add them (including dryer alongside my washer in kitchen), but only because I eventually had enough money that I could. I was fine without them.

Were your walls plaster and lathboards? Some of the UK houses I have seen are an inner and outer layer of brick, and running anything is a pain. You often see wiring outside of the walls because its too hard to run places.

Nope, plantation house, single wall construction. The kind built by sugar plantation workers in Hawaii. Probably very easy to run things in comparison

I personally think they should travel more, live outside of the US, see what works and what doesn’t and then maybe return home and fix some of the problems in their society.
