That’s what happens when tyre face hits tyre face with a collision in this direction. The tyres grip each other and it launches the car coming from behind.

Basically the tire speeds double and are applied almost vertically to the car behind. That launches the car upwards from the front.

The tire grip is good enough to fling a car 3 feet into the air and make it roll over twice, in an instant, while going 30 mph? I need to know where you’re buying tires with that kind of grip!

In open wheel racing (F1, F2, …) tyre on tyre contact happens every few races. Yet, somehow, they don’t take to the skies? If anything, they have less drag upwards that would stop them.
