Fuck F1. I was in Vegas during the 1st race they did there. The race went through the strip so I figured I’d be able to at least see bits and pieces of it from a few spots, but they went out of their way to block the view from nearly every vantage point other than their paid tickets that were like $1000+. They even went so far as covering the walkways in tarping essentially and lobbying the government to make it a crime to not be moving on the walkways. Madness…
I don’t know… But I am not visiting Reddit much any more.
Today I did, though, and the only F1 meme was a clearly hand-crafted one about the health state of Michael Schuhmacher in contrast to the (presumable?) state of the F1 fanbase.
Looked like the exact opposite of astroturfing to me…
Well, when I go it is full of posts about F1, some seem manual, many of them seem like marketing slides.
