Euthanasia or assisted suicide is legal in Canada under certain circumstances. Its legal form is called medical assistance in dying (abbreviated as MAiD or MAID). Under federal law, the practice cannot be administered as a result of any outside influence or pressure. A minimum 90-day assessment is conducted before determining eligibility with numerous other procedural safeguards also in place.

Also legal in Belgium but under very strict conditions. Only around 12-20 people a year actually get the ‘Yes’ they want.

Source: one of my best friends is (sadly for me) set on this course since a year now.

      A) what does tax rates have to do with medically assisted dying?

      B) if you spend 13 seconds not lying googling, you’d see that median tax rates in Canada are not even in the ballpark of 52%

We in America hate taxes because our government wastes the money on things that aren’t improving our lives. And that’s a failure of democracy. It doesn’t need to be that way.
