Benefits: No exterior to build easy fast it can look like shit and still be “good enough” So much stone you’ll never need a cobble farm easy

Exactly this, but I’m modded Minecraft you can usually also just camouflage a door. The only tricky part is if you need a garden; some mods support camouflage glass but I usually just have a subtle hole in an inconspicuous place.
