I just came to the realization that in the last months I really haven’t come across an app or piece of software that doesn’t have claude code in it. Literally zero promotion posts where it’s not written with AI. People using AI to write one paragraph.
I kinda knew half jokingly that the devs were going to be the first ones to be replaced. They like to say it’s just a tool… cope?
The timing of the AI boom was really unfortunate. There were several tools coming off the ground that were all app builders for databases. I could tell they were about to start heading in a node-based or at least script-based design, but the moment AI came out, pretty much every single one was like, “we don’t know how our tool works anymore, but our AI can vomit some shit up in no time!”
I just want an app builder that doesn’t require a web dev masters to work with.
You don’t need a masters in anything to write websites.
JavaScript isn’t too bad once you figure out prototype based objects and DOM. Especially now with ES6.
I’m not trying to make websites. I’m trying to make web apps with Excel/Access-level automation and formulas. Half of them don’t even give a straightforward and simple way to reference the data without already deeply being familiar with database structure.
