I just came to the realization that in the last months I really haven’t come across an app or piece of software that doesn’t have claude code in it. Literally zero promotion posts where it’s not written with AI. People using AI to write one paragraph.
I kinda knew half jokingly that the devs were going to be the first ones to be replaced. They like to say it’s just a tool… cope?
You try finding a software engineering job that doesn’t require ai use as a condition of employment.
I have one. Live in Europe though and it’s a small agency where I’m a solo dev.

I’m starting to feel the same way. I took on a start up gig to do something more interesting, and now a AI first mindset is creeping in and slowly taking hold for core infra. I have no interest in that direction, so I may have to leave. I’m increasingly over it…
