It was* (before archinstall) usually bragged about in a tongue and cheek way…I thought. Be pretty stupid to brag you’re literate enough to just follow directions. Waste of time.
I’ve never bragged that I managed to install Arch (Or Gentoo for that matter), buuut let’s be honest, most people aren’t literate enough to follow directions. Complex words outside of their domain of expertise frighten and confuse most people.
But then the people who understand the complexity involved to understand the brag are precisely the people who themselves could easily install follow said instructions so it becomes kinda moot anyway.
I’ve seen people bragging about it a few times unironically. Not even some cool specifically constrained environment (like offline from installed linux or windows).
