Every time I’ve seen a movie with some “resurrected” actor, without exception, I am revolted and totally removed from the film.
Will someone else in the role fall short of the original? Probably… but that’s because the original is dead. Let them rest in peace, and allow all of the living to enjoy their works before we follow them.
Do other people appreciate these computer revenants? Wouldn’t someone who’s never seen the original also be removed from the film by a CGI “actor” amongst all of the meatballs?
In this case, are voice actors that hard to find? We can’t find anyone who sounds somewhat like Gene Wilder?
Re wife/family approval… get a job. Maybe as a voice actor, I’ve heard we are short of them.
