Genuinely some of my favorite projects are on there (before I knew they where anti-AI too)! Chimera, Dune3d, Krita, River, PostmarketOS, Zig, Quickshell, Alacritty, OBS, yt-dlp and MUSl all get my 100% recommend (really, check them out, they are all brilliant projects). There’s also some sweet new finds in there, keep the good work going!
Someone should make the reverse of this, an AI shame list. But not just projects using AI coding tools to assist dev, but engineering environments where workers are pressured to use AI and integrate slop wherever possible, even if they prefer not to.
I think there are a lot of companies with shitty AI heavy engineering cultures right now where it’s just expected that you’ll hand all coding work off to AI, and as a result very little people know how shit works.
Damn, so much of the software I use is either ai permissive or using it in code reviews.
Ugh, a lot of the C related dependencies are AI permissive, this annoys me deeply. As I can’t just stop using them unless I want to quit coding. 😬
Hmm, while this is close, I honestly wish that it was more targeted towards bad organizations and corporations that are redirecting their efforts to layoff and output slopware.
But I guess that’s basically every tech company right fucking now. They all want to destroy their businesses for some fucking reason.
