“… at least $174,000 annually for nearly eight years…”

    $174,000 x 8 years = 1,392,000

    Millions in 1,392,000 = 1

Now, I’m no expert in American taxes, I’m just a Canadian; but last I checked, 1 million is not multiple millions

Take away about 25-27% for federal and state taxes, social security, idk if they pay for health care since gov, but then she also lives in NY, so I’m sure is not cheap.

She might also need a place in DC. The alternative is staying in a hotel for the duration of congressional sessions. Maybe flying home on weekends and back the next week. But since there are multimillionaires and rich fuck lobbyists in the area as well, it’s hella expensive.
