That’s the same issue we have right now in America, people feel scared about a lot of stuff and democrats said “you have nothing to be scared of, the economy is doing well.” Republicans accurately identified people’s fears and spoke to the reality of what they felt, i.e. trans/lgbtq stuff feels scary and different, you feel job insecure, and the economy feels bad.
It’s just what they prescribe as the solution that it gets a biiiit not great.
More democrats are pointing out the fact that a lot of the problems are caused by the rich and powerful, extreme income inequality, political instability and extremism, neo feudalism, Neo colonialism, corporate cronyism,

Yeah, fear is a very potent emotion that can be directed by manipulators.
Always be skeptical of someone who appears to be feeding you fear fuel.
and especially when someone gives you a “simple solution” that would solve everything, that no one else sees.
