Agreed, Even then, it wasn’t really the Democratic party that wanted him. Hillary was the frontrunner through the primaries and into the convention. He barely bested her. He only got the nod because the rest of the country revolted against the party leaders from the traditional blue states, and the party had no choice but to follow.
She was such a terrible choice for Democrats that Rush Limbaugh supported her in the primaries!
Had she won the convention (and had McCain picked anyone but that tea party pinhead), the GOP would have likely prevailed, even after Dubya. She couldn’t win against a moron like Trump; she didn’t have a chance in hell against one of the last good Republicans this country has seen.
Oh, they were losing while Obama was president too. A Supreme Court Justice and the Heritage Foundation’s health insurance reforms (aka Obamacare/ACA) come to mind.
Last I checked there were about 50% more registered Democrats than registered Republicans in the USA. Given those kind of numbers, it’s actually impressive that the Republicans ever win any elections at all; and it takes a lot of both Democratic incompetence and Republican gerrymandering.
not only gerrymandering, but voter suppression laws. most targeting blacks, latino democratic areas. propaganda helps even some dems turn to republicans last election.
Democrats have been setting out to lose since Obama left office. Trump 2020 was the only one to beat them at their own game.
it was a fluke for obama to win, because of bad bush screwed up the economy.
