in the case of microsoft, it’s like not letting a cat around babies because you saw it scratch the baby and bite the baby and the cat said “i’m gonna eat that baby” and licks its lips and bites the baby again
I totally get what you’re saying. Microsoft engineered Embrace, Extend, Exterminate, where it would take open standards, extend them in a proprietary manner, then use their market dominance to kill the open standard. Bill Gates has definitely killed some babies.
But I’m saying it can’t kill the baby if its contributing directly to an open source project that everyone has equal access to.
