I hate AI but anyone who wants to
help fundcontribute resources to Linux kernel development is welcome to. As long as the code remains open, what kind of nefarious thing can they really do? I think this is irrational.this is membership, not just funding
Fixed it for you. The statement is pretty much the same.
Use it both as advertisement for their slop, and even ruin it at least temporarily. Sure, you can fork it due to its open source nature, but a nightmare scenario will require new volunteers (AI psychosis is kind of a plague within the industry), removing the affected code, and replace it with something that actually works. Even harder is if it just becomes spaghetti slop, the code operates mostly correctly, but hard to decipher and correct the moment it will have issues.
