Tankies just want to talk about Socialism in a perfect vacuum. Why would they want to talk about someone actually doing things. That requires effort.

I feel like it’s the complete opposite. The people who end up being labelled as “tankies” that I see online are usually the ones asking the hard questions about how to actually achieve socialism in the real world, while liberals and social democrats are the ones dreaming in a vacuum, basically arguing that we’ll just have to ask the billionaires and imperialists nicely to give up their money and power, etc., ad infinitum.
