Internal emails revealed in court and interviews with ex-employees describe how Amazon’s practices drove up prices for competitors like Walmart and Target. Amazon denies price-fixing claims and says it works to lower costs for consumers
Tbh Amazon always had outrageous pricing for me, raging from 1.5-4x the price on other platforms. I don’t think I’d ever seen a competitive deal on the site.
I wonder if it’s their algorithm taking a distaste for me in particular or a local glitch, but no one in my area uses it either.
In any case, locally marketed price aggregators never even showed me an Amazon listing in the first place, so it’s probably an issue on their end, as most people aren’t willing to pay $76.5 + $115 shipping fees for a product worth at most €50.
