Postmaster General David Steiner told a Senate committee Wednesday that, if a proposed rule is adopted, the U.S. Postal Service would withhold mail ballots from states that do not hand over to the federal government lists of people who have requested absentee or mail ballots.

Apparently Oregon doesn’t have any voter leave laws either which makes your situation worse. For the states that do it’s usually 2-3 hours of paid time off to go vote. I’m sure that’s gonna cause a stir if this goes through and people start requesting that payment. Can see the headlines now about court cases over it.
