These are the bathroom doors at a brewery near me. I don’t understand why more places don’t do this. If it’s a single stall bathroom, it’s all that matters.
If I ever run a place with bathrooms, I’ll get two gender neutral bathrooms then make a habit of putting confusing pictures in front of each like they’re gendered, like a picture of a screwdriver on one and a picture of a wrench on the other, another day put a knight chess piece on one and rook on the other, a goose and a squirrel, keep em guessing
a picture of a screwdriver on one and a picture of a wrench on the other
Something that screws and something that sounds like wench. I would think huh fun little riddle and then go in. The idea that it was supposed to be ungendered wouldn’t even occur.
At this point I think the only useful signage is “sitting” vs “standing” and maybe “accessible”.

Who the hell runs System Integration Tests at the restrooms?
Priest
Not available.
I can offer you ‘Christ’ though.
Wait, are you not? I thought that was SOP…
don’t stand in a single stall bathroom
this. And for that matter, don’t stand anywhere. Urinals belong in the shitter of history.

I prefer symbols (toilet symbol, urinal symbol, wheelchair and toilet symbol), for accessibility
