      Couple of ways to interpret this comic:

      • The spider is an invasive species, and hitched a ride on an “invasive” boat.
      • The invaders died, and the boat has been abandoned long enough for a spider to start building a web.
      • The “invaders” are actually running away from the boat because they’re scared of the spider.

        • The spider has invaded the boat, so even if they win they lose (they’ll come back and find the spider).

        • The first two panels are only happening in the spider’s mind (it sees its self as an invading hoard).

        This was the only one of his that I couldn’t wrap my head around. I initially landed on #1, but 3 is definitely his type of humor. Good call

      Maybe it’s a joke about spiders being fast? Sometimes I swear those little dudes build these huge intricate webs in mere hours
