spinning the generational conflict to prevent class war
Sorry, I don’t judge entire groups based on the behavior of a few. I know, it’s weird, but I didn’t do it when it was hip to judge people by skin tone and I’m not doing it now that it’s all the rage to use the super-duper scientific method of what year someone was born.
You know what, you’re right. There are classes of people who can’t control their outcomes (skin color, sexual orientation, gender identity), and then there are those who can’t control what decade they were born. That’s exactly the same thing.
Boomers can’t help stealing from their offspring because they were born at a time where that was wired-in. There’s nothing they can do to improve their behavior. I’m so glad you corrected me for being a fucking bigot. All this time that I thought I was criticizing greed and power has actually been a misguided adventure into bigotry.
Do boomers who are white hold most of the wealth? Doesn’t matter! They were born in a time when you couldn’t control that. What the fuck. What a shit response. Defend people who lord over you or pretend to fight back as you lord over us. You’re exposed. Shut up. Go away.
Sorry, how is your post different from someone claiming [insert racial group] is prone to greed and you’re simply trying to criticize greed? It’s basically a Mad Libs of that old fashioned bigotry.
Also, I’m confused by your first paragraph there. It’s such a weird thing to acknowledge that birth year is a fixed/ascribed trait then immediately launch into a prejudicial rant based on said ascribed trait. Even weirder to pause mid rant to claim you aren’t a bigot for inexorably linking an ascribed trait to a achieved (greed) state, which is basically the literal definition of bigotry. Or, is “That’s exactly the same thing” sarcasm and you’re implying people do choose when they’re born? Very confusing.
