People dont want to look inwardly especially if they voted for the dump and have to admit they’re no different from the Nazi soldiers “taking orders” and will be remembered as scum.
I just try to avoid any topic that could ever steer politic becuse outside of a few safe places where im at, it’s magaland and they all agree ice is doing a great job and the no kings rally’s are all staged. Oh and daycares in Minnesota took all their tax money.
Yup, it can be exhausting when all people want from you is hold up a mirror to their own opinion.
The deeper problem is: I have to be my own checks and balances which is dangerous because I can’t live outside my ego and anyone who they can has tricked themselves.
It’s not that people are stupid. It’s that belief isn’t about truth anymore, it’s about social cohesion and identity protection. To posit another reality is an attack on their very sense of self.
When you can’t even share a reality, how can you bond on a deeper level, how can you look to them for feedback when they live an unexamined life?
