    Yes. Centuries. We have a long way to go in dismantling the cultural and political institutions that have spanned centuries of human society which have led us to their modern iterations.

    Revolutions don’t spontaneously appear out of desperation. They are dedicated, concentrated efforts by people across decades of struggle in the hope to change society into something fundamentally different.

    This will be a battle where we plant trees under whose shade we know we shall never get to enjoy. We aren’t even going to be the ones planting trees, we are the ones who must first turn the soil to get it ready to grow trees at all.
