Donald Trump has issued his latest threat to Iran and said that if officials fail to make a deal with the United States “the whole country is going to get blown up.”

The president also made threats Sunday morning to target civil infrastructure after it was reported that Iranian forces were refusing to allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz this weekend.

So that relatively small group of soldiers sitting in boats far from shore without adequate food or supplies are going to crush the much larger and entrenched entire Iranian military now huh. Sounds real scary.

One silver lining to all this is that evidently Trump has learned that its harder to attack a mid sized country halfway around the world --without allies-- in challenging terrain – than it is to attack some unarmed civilians trying to get to work in portland or minneapolis.

    Progress of a sort.

The soldiers won’t do a thing, US Navy-Air Force will toss bombers and missiles; they’ll do small special ops too, of course.

I don’t think they’ll ever use the Army-Marines, too much risk.
