There’s still a process they go through to get a “compassionate use” case approved, because they don’t have the resources to provide it to everyone who asks. I wonder if they were denied for this, if they never applied for it, or if this particular company just doesn’t offer it.
I’m not saying that US healthcare isn’t fucked or anything. Just that the situation has more nuance than the headline suggests.
