We’re talking about a class of people who wouldn’t be caught dead in a Starbucks, and no, they don’t go to more upscale coffee shops either. Those, too, are for the “poors”. We are talking about the class of people that get their coffee from the attendant at their private, gated, clubs. That is where they spend all their time. They live in a complete bubble, entirely separated from society. They don’t get alternative news, they don’t get news period.
I can guarantee the reason Melania made that statement wasn’t because of some upcoming leak, or that she was worried about being named, or anything of the sort. It’s because her fellow privileged friends in her circle started talking about her. Snide comments about where she came from. Imagine the most popular girl in school making a school announcement that she totally didn’t sleep with Bobby Flemming and the only ones making such accusations are jealous whores, where it’s clear the only ones she’s really addressing is her own social circle that has been making comments about her. That’s the level of vanity we are talking about. She doesn’t give a shit what people are saying online, but now that her friends are starting to make comments, well now it’s something worth addressing.
