I haven’t found any confirmation anywhere, but I know some of the people at DINUM are active NixOS maintainers, and I’ve seen some NixOS-based development in that space:
Nixos or a derivative would make a ton of sense for an administration, just load the same config on all the computers and voila! Each department can have it’s own variation of the config.
I’d be interested to try their distro when it’s done…
I’ll just need to remove the french language pack first. Let me look up instructions for that real quick… Oh no…
Luckily it’s France, not Quebec. France is much more amenable to providing documentation in other languages.

Anyway, no need for documentation – the command for removing the French language pack is
sudo rm -fr ./*Oh yes, that’s good. Didn’t even think about that. I’m so used to seeing -rf that I didn’t even register what I was looking at for a second.
