I would not be surprised if he dies in office, regardless if it’s less than 4 years or not.

But when it comes to all those around him that enable(d) all these horrors, no effort should be spared in going after them in every possible legal way: Bondi, Noem, Miller, Bannon, Stone, just every single one of them, if still alive, should have constant “lawfare” leveled at them.

The Republicans will never learn any lessons otherwise. Basically nothing happened to any of them the first time around (and for Nixon and for Ronnie Raygun) so they got even worse.

Also, we need to have some carve-outs for pardons for assholes that work for a party and do crimes on their behalf - if you are in prison for doing crimes as a Republican politician in the interest of carrying out the Republican platform, no Republican president should be able to pardon you.

Right now, this would only apply to Republicans, since they are the only ones doing this kind of thing.

If you only attempt to prosecute the current executive branch, you will end up in a worse position over time. Corporations that participated in the open corruption by donating to his swearing in must be held accountable, criminally. The senators and congressmen who supported his obviously unconstitutional policies must be removed from office at the very least. The judges at all levels who very obviously ignored the constitution in pursuit of a fascist agenda with i’m sure a large quantity of kick-backs have to be disbarred.

Obviously this would require a complete overhaul of the existing structure and so has absolutely no chance of happening, but in reality, it’s the only “lawful” way to stop the continuous slide to right and perhaps allow justice to prevail for the next few decades.
