It’s sort of always this way. Some new advancement comes out and a whole lot of snake oil salesmen come out of the woodwork trying to come up with other ways to sell the new tech. AI and LLMs do have their uses, but not nearly the way it’s being hyped.
During the Nuclear hype, everyone was trying to solve every problem with nukes or radiation somehow. Luckily, it didn’t get very far.
