The Military Religious Freedom Foundation says it has been inundated with over 200 calls from members of the U.S. military regarding religious comments made by U.S. commanders about the war in Iran. One combat unit commander reportedly said that the war is “part of God’s divine plan” and that “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.” Last month, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited the controversial Christian nationalist pastor Doug Wilson to lead the Pentagon’s prayer service. Wilson has opposed Muslims holding public office and does not believe women should be allowed to vote.

    Oh, I 100% know their bullshit narratives and little games they play. By their measure, there is literally no way to know who is “anointed” by the character of Jesus, since they have zero standards obviously.

    By this measure, I can claim the people they most hate are anointed by the character of Jesus from “the” bible, and they have no real counter for it. I can find the most antifa and queer vegan Communist BLM member (or Bill Clinton, or Hillary Clinton, or Obama, or Kamala, or Biden…since they tend to claim these people are all those things, LOL.) and claim I have evidence they are “anointed by Jesus”.

        If someone tells you they believe in the literal “word of [their] god” (and by that, they are being very presumptuous and assume everyone should just assume that they mean Jehovah/Yahweh/Allah when they say “God” and using KJV or NIV as the text), it might get interesting to ask them which version of the creation myth in there do they think is the real one?
