      Ah so the people there are still ethnically brazillian/argentinian right? i.e. the people are indigenous themselves, just not the rulers? or are the majority of people of european descent too?

        Brazil

        Majority of people are either pardo (mixed white/black/indigenous) or white indigenous population is less than 1%). First mixed race president was in 1909.

        Argentina

        80ish% European descent 16% indigenous

        Also it’s worth pointing out that both countries speak European languages and are majority Catholic.
