      Interesting. Do you know if that was like a voice quality/tambre thing, or just pitch?

      Alternatively I suppose it’s not unlikely that there just weren’t boys in the group that could sing that part

        Pitch. There weren’t countertenor parts we needed to fill, the teacher was just determining everyone’s native range and that’s where she fell.
