i’ve been hearing complaints in the vocal synth community about getting called “slop” for using vocaloid by people who don’t know what it is. we live in the worst timeline. any kind of digital processing or tools are just slop now.
we gave all the kids updoot buttons that give a dopamine hit whenever they just post “slop” in response to anything. What would we expect to happen? What if we treated the idiots who were like “FIRST” in every thread back in 2003 like they were geniuses analyzing the dead sea scrolls?
Turns out encouraging those people got them to actively participate and try to be “first” at all kinds of endeavors. It so dramatically changed that timeline that they had to put a block on the timeline to stop people moving to it because it’s now considered one of the golden timelines.
I give it 5 years before we start seeing kids assuming classic meme videos like that are AI too.
