the schumers and the dinos were most certainly not to protect programs for the poor, they are to play the “paid opposition of the gop” when its convenient. schumer is at least worth 80+million right now, he has vested interest as any gop to end the govt with no benefits for the constiuents. also the shutdown was indirectly hurting the ISRAEli narrative as well.
